Nicola graduated with a master’s in counselling degree from City University of Seattle and is a registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She is trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (insomnia) and psychoeducational assessments. Nicola works with teens and adults with various mental health concerns, such as emotion dysregulation, suicidality, self-harm, neurodevelopmental conditions, anxiety, depression, and borderline personality disorder. She utilizes a compassionate and strengths-based approach, seeing the potential and wisdom of each client. Nicola aims to guide clients to find a balance between acceptance and growth through learning effective skills, empowerment, and connection with self. Nicola previously worked and volunteered in various public and private mental health settings. She comes to the field of psychology with a background in kinesiology and massage therapy. When not at work, you will find Nicola in the mountains, skiing, or hiking.
